Bio
Thom grew up near Detroit, Michigan. He started his career as a business development guy in telecommunications in 1976 eventually co-architecting two successful, high-tech start-up companies. "I’m not happy unless I’m building something," says Thom. "Writing music and lyrics is incredibly different than building a company, but the fit feels totally natural, it’s the other side of me."
What kind of an experience has it been to reveal this other side to the people in your life? "It’s emotional." Reflects Thom; "it’s strange, difficult and liberating, it is important to connect life experiences with creativity. We all have more insight into each other as people when our vulnerabilities show a bit. To me, that’s what makes life interesting. I hope that in all of this I can say something that someone finds helpful, comforting or at least familiar.”
